Having lurked in the shadows of London's underground music scene for some time, Hackney Wick artist Nuha Ruby Ra has been crafting an upward trajectory of her own over the last year or so. Now signed to Brace Yourself Records, 'Sparky' is Nuha's bold debut for the newly-created label. Candidly spilling stories of "fun sexual escapades that don't end well", oscillating synths wobble around a snappy beat that's almost nu metal in flavour. Integrating distant sax wails and sci-fi-inspired synthesizers, Nuha divulges: “I’m Sparky, it’s a name I was given once by an old flame. That Sparky was all about the joys of sex and dominance. The sleeping demon that needed to come out for a dance and push the demons of ‘Erase Me’ and ‘Cruel’ off  to the side for a minute.
